History

Since our initial podcast series The Extraenvironmentalist hit the internet in 2010, our organization has been focused on finding ways to present perspectives on environmental, social and economic sustainability in ways that are engaging and produce a creative dialogue with the future. This spirit lives on with the XE Network of podcasts and the XE Live Broadcast platform even to this day. After years of producing the original podcast, in 2014 the Extraenvironmentalist Media Association was created in British Columbia as a society that can embody the goal of producing media that changes the world toward a positive outlook on sustainability issues. Since that time, we’ve been guided by our Board of Directors and the service of our members toward creating powerful means to enact our organizational mission. Beginning in 2019, we launched this keystone website to organize our various projects, to report proceedings and meeting notifications to members, and to organize our documents.

As a registered society with the Province of British Columbia, we are compliant with the Societies Act, and therefore make our constitution and bylaws available to the public and our members:
